Victim identified in Newell Drive shooting

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office identified Monday the victim in a deadly weekend shooting.

Deputies with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Newell Drive and found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and attempted to render aid to the victim.

The victim, identified as Josheul Allen, 39, of Smoaks died at the scene.

BCSO previously reported that Nicholas Jermaine Thorn, 44, was arrested and charged with murder in this case.
