Two people dead after single-vehicle accident on Savannah Highway
CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Deputies with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) are investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred early Monday morning, September 9, that killed two people.
Around 2:30 a.m., deputies responded to reports of a collision in the 8600 block of Savannah Highway in Adams Run.
According to the initial investigation, the vehicle was traveling north when it veered off the right side of the road, struck a tree, and overturned. Both the driver and the passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.
The identities of the victims have not been released by the Charleston County Coroner’s Office.
The CCSO’s Traffic Services Unit is handling the investigation. Authorities are urging anyone with information related to the crash to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 843-202-1700.
