Troopers investigate deadly crash on I-26 in Dorchester County

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Troopers are investigating a deadly Friday morning crash on I-26 in Dorchester County.

Cpl. Nick Pye with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash happened in the westbound lanes near the 185-mile marker.

This SCDOT camera shows traffic delays on I-26 westbound following a deadly May 23, 2025 crash near mile marker 185.

One lane of traffic was closed, and troopers warned of travel delays.

No other details were provided.
