Suspects at large after police pursuit ends in Berkeley Co.

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A multi-agency police chase ensued from North Charleston down I-26 early Sunday morning.

Police say one was arrested and three suspects are still at large.

North Charleston Public Information Officer, Harve Jacobs, says officers responded to 4840 Tanger Blvd around 4 a.m. about a call that four men were threatening someone.

When officers approached the vehicle, they smelled marijuana, and the driver sped away.

Officials say the pursuit ensued on I-26 westbound and ended at Highway 176 and Cypress Campground Rd intersection when the vehicle got stuck in the mud.

Officers arrested one of the passengers. NCPD’s K-9 and Berkeley County deputies attempted to track the other suspects, and they are still at large. SC Highway Patrol also assisted.

Anthony Frazier, 18, is charged with receiving stolen goods under $2,000. Officials say he was also armed with a handgun.

Frazier is currently being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
