Summerville PD responding to barricaded subject in Robynwyn subdivision

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities are responding to a barricaded person in the Summerville area.

Officers with the Summerville Police Department said the incident was taking place at a home on Lilac Drive in the Robynwyn subdivision.

According to police, the incident began as a traffic stop; however, after pulling over, the suspect ran into his home and refused to come outside.

Police are asking people to avoid the area until the situation has been resolved.
