SOURCE SPORTS: Detroit Pistons Snap Their Record-Breaking Losing Streak to End 2023
The Detroit Pistons left their NBA record-losing streak in 2023. On Saturday (Dec. 30), the Pistons squeaked a 129-127 win over the Toronto Raptors. The now 3-29 Pistons were led by Cade Cunningham’s 30 points and 12 assists.
“I feel amazing,” Cunningham said. “We just kept battling. It’s been a long stretch, all these losses, but I’m just happy to be part of a group of guys who don’t quit.”
“I’m just so happy we were able to get that,” said Jalen Duren, who added 18 points and 17 rebounds. “We’ve been fighting hard for a couple of months to get one, and we’ve been through a lot of adversity.”
Jalen Duren scored 18 points with 17 rebounds and two assists in tonight’s win vs Toronto.
He has averaged 14.8 PTS, 13.3 REB and 1.8 AST on .691 FG% over his last six games, becoming the first Piston with such averages over a six-game span in the shot clock era (since 1954-55). pic.twitter.com/leJlAJbqQq
