Restaurants prep before Super Bowl crowds come in
MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD)- Ahead of the Super Bowl, a lot of bars and restaurants in the Lowcountry prepared for the crowds going out to watch the big game.
Lots and lots of chicken wings were being prepped Sunday morning at Charleston Sports Pub, 1,500 lbs to be exact.
“I started on Thursday to get us ready for today, one cook at Charleston Sports Pub told News 2.

“It involves getting them seasoned, putting them in the oven, getting them prepped, getting them bucketed where we can just grab and go,” manager, Brandon Blount said.
Blount says they’re expecting to feed hundreds of people, from to-go orders to folks who will eat at their tables.
“I would say the biggest thing we have to do is make space for everybody, reservations are definitely a big thing. If we have a walk-in obviously we will try to make room for you if we can,” Blount said.
They’re also ready for the crowd who wants to have a few drinks, “We are completely stocked up. We even bought extra cases in case a beer we have on tap runs put we have a backup,” Blount said.
However, they’re also focused on keeping their customers safe.
“If you’re going to sit here for the game from 5:00 until 10-11, we have to make sure you can drive. We’re not going to let you leave without calling an Uber or something,” Blount said.
Overall managers say they want the crowd to have fun, and enjoy Super Bowl 58.
