North Charleston PD investigating early morning homicide

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities in North Charleston are investigating an early morning homicide.

Officers with the North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) responded to an address off Meeting Street just before 4:00 a.m. where they were told someone may have been shot and driven to a hospital, according to spokesman Harve Jacobs.

Charleston Police later notified the agency around 5:00 a.m. that their officers located a vehicle at Mount Pleasant Street and Magnolia Road.

A gunshot victim was in the back seat of that vehicle. The victim was later pronounced deceased at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC).

No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
