Adam Silver reveals verdict on Ja Morant’s punishment n for waving another gun on Instagram is on hold until the Finals conclude.

Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant was suspended from all team activity after being seen on Instagram waving a gun, again. The suspension was a empty handed gesture as the Grizzlies were already eliminated from the NBA playoffs. Since then suspension rumors have swirled on how severe the punishment will be for Ja who received a slap on the wrist previously. Yesterday before Game 1 of the NBA Finals Commissioner Adam Silver gave a slight preview of just how serious the punishment might be.

“We’ve uncovered a fair amount of additional information,” Silver said. “We probably could have brought it to a head now, but we’ve made the decision that it would be unfair to these players and these teams to announce that decision in the middle of this series.”

Silver thinking it might be a distraction from the Finals is the biggest hint the punishment will be harsh. However, weeks before his latest gun flashing incident he sat in Silver office and promised better behavior. With the irresponsible choices made by Ja whatever the punishment is will be justified. Reportedly the NBA and the Players Association consulted on the punishment and agreed on whatever it may be. Hopefully this will be Morant’s wake up call to get his act together. He is almost guaranteed to be the face of the league soon and is fumbling every step of the way.
