Longtime girlfriend of Raymond Moody due in federal court Wednesday, charged with lying to investigators

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — The longtime girlfriend of a man convicted of kidnapping and killing Brittanee Drexel in 2009 will be in federal court on Wednesday, charged with three counts of lying to investigators.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office told News13 Angel Vause, 56, is slated for a 1 p.m. arraignment in front of Magistrate Judge Molly H. Cherry.

A news release issued Wednesday morning said Vause was indicted for allegedly lying to the FBI during their investigation into Drexel’s case.

Vause’s boyfriend Raymond Moody confessed to abducting and murdering Drexel, a 17-year-old New York native who was in Myrtle Beach during a spring break weekend in 2009.

Count on News13 for updates.
