How to watch Emma Navarro’s Olympic debut

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — Charleston native Emma Navarro’s Olympic journey begins with a singles match in Paris on Saturday set for early local time.

Navarro, 23, will face Austria’s Julia Grabher on court 8 at Roland Garros, at 6 a.m. Eastern time. Roland Garros is the site of the French Open, where Navarro made it to the Sweet Sixteen in June.

NBC is home to coverage of the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics. Peacock’s streaming app will also air live and delayed coverage of all Olympic events alongside NBCOlympics.com and NBC mobile apps.

Currently, Navarro’s WTA Tour ranking is 15, which is her career high. Grabher’s WTA ranking is 312, and her career high was 54 on June 26, 2023.

Navarro, an Ashley Hall graduate and former NCAA Singles champion, turned pro the summer of her sophomore year at Virginia and won her first WTA in January at the Hobart International.

Team USA’s women’s singles tennis roster includes Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula, and Danielle Collins. For the men’s singles, Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul, Chris Eubanks, and Marcos Giron will represent.

All Olympic tennis matches are best-of-three sets.
