Heavy rain expected Wednesday evening through Thursday

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Waves of heavy showers will be hitting the Lowcountry throughout Wednesday afternoon and into Thursday morning.

“The most widespread rain we think will occur, later today [Wednesday] especially tonight and into the first part of the day tomorrow,” says Storm Team 2’s Josh Marthers.

Marthers added there is a limited chance of flooding toward the eastern part of the state, which includes the Charleston metro.
