Friday night fire damages McLeod Mill Road home

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A home on McLeod Mill Road was damaged in a Friday night fire.

A neighbor who was returning home around 7p.m. noticed the fire and called 911, according to Chief Fire Marshal Kevin Berkel with St. Andrews Fire Department.

Multiple fire agencies responded to the home and found a fire burning at the single-family residence.

No one was home at the time of the fire, and no firefighters were injured during the response.

The cause is under investigation.
