Crews respond to Moncks Corner mobile home fire, several pets presumed dead

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCBD) – Firefighters responded to a mobile home fire in Moncks Corner early Wednesday morning, and several pets are presumed to be dead as a result.

According to Central Berkeley Fire, the incident occurred in the 200 block of W Poplar Branch around 4:30 a.m.

“They did have several pets that were recovered from inside the structure but unfortunately it doesn’t sound like any of them survived,” said Colt Roy, the Assistant Chief of Public Information for Central Berkeley Fire & EMS.

There are no additional details on the residents’ condition in the home or the cause of the fire.
