Gregory Edward Jacobs, known as Shock G, the frontman for the influential hip-hop group Digital Underground, was found dead on Thursday at a hotel in Tampa, Fla. He was 57. His death was confirmed by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, which did not provide a cause of death.
