Michele Weaver and Nathan Owens are taking center stage in A Season To Remember, a festive flick that combines holiday cheer, romance, and a powerful message about stepping into your purpose.

Premiering Saturday, December 7, at 9:00 ET/PT, Michele takes the lead in A Season To Remember as Symone Gibson, a sports reporter trying to prove herself in a male-dominated industry, while Nathan Owens stars as Iggy Love, a laid-back freelance sports photographer who helps Symone chase a career-defining story.

In the film, the two go from coworkers to something more, and watchers see their platonic relationship blossom into an X-mas miracle.

When asked why holiday movies hit so hard, Nathan summed it up perfectly, telling Managing Editor Dani Canada;

“There’s just this magic that goes hand-in-hand with the holidays,” said Nathan about America’s undying love for Christmas movies. “These movies feel nostalgic, like visiting an old friend. They’re comforting, warm, and they remind us of family and joy.”

Michele agreed and noted that Christmas movies make watchers feel safe despite the unpredictability of the real world.

“Even when characters face struggles in these films, you know it’s going to work out in the end,” added Michele. That hope is something we all need, especially during the holidays.”

In A Season to Remember, Symone and Iggy start as colleagues but quickly become more. Nathan said he loves how Iggy encourages Symone to step into her power.

“He helps her realize her potential and teaches her to speak up for herself,” said Nathan. “It’s beautiful how their friendship evolves into something deeper.”

Michele agreed but noted that Symone isn’t just taking notes—she’s teaching Iggy a thing or two herself.

“Symone is super organized and clear about what she wants, which balances Iggy’s free-spirited nature,” said the actress. “Their dynamic shows how opposites can bring out the best in each other.”

Michele shared how fun it was to bring Symone’s family dynamics to life, especially the scenes where Iggy gets grilled by her overprotective relatives.

“That energy is so real, whether it’s from a brother, cousin, or even a close friend,” Michele said. “It’s hilarious but also important to see family come together to protect their own.”

Nathan, meanwhile, revealed that the basketball scene was his favorite, though Michele had to work to keep up.

“She was practicing for days!” Nathan teased. “But she killed it.”

More than just a feel-good holiday flick, A Season to Remember also delivers an inspiring message about growth and purpose. According to Michele, it’s all about reflecting on what really matters.

“Sometimes we’re so busy chasing a dream, we forget to ask why we want it,” the actress told BOSSIP. “This movie reminds us to pause, reflect, and lean into who we truly want to be.”

Nathan echoed those sentiments, adding that the movie also highlights the power of hope and self-discovery.

“It’s about courage and vulnerability,” he said. “When you focus on being the best version of yourself, everything else falls into place.”
