1 injured in Otranto Road apartment shooting

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Police in North Charleston are investigating a reported shooting on Memorial Day.

Just before 6 p.m., officers with the North Charleston Police Department responded to the Greentree North Apartments on Otranto Road after receiving reports of gunfire.

When they arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, according to Harve Jacobs, spokesperson for the department.

That victim was taken to a local hospital by Charleston County emergency services. The agency did not provide an update on the victim’s condition.

Police have not yet made any arrests. An investigation is ongoing.
