State troopers investigating deadly hit-and-run on I-26 in Dorchester County

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – State troopers are investigating a deadly hit-and-run collision that happened on Interstate 26.

Corporal Nick Pye with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said an unknown vehicle was traveling west when it struck a pedestrian near mile marker 185 in Dorchester County just after midnight.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.

The Dorchester County Coroner’s Office has not yet identified the deceased.
