Police arrest man in Isle of Palms robbery, kidnapping investigation

ISLE OF PALMS, S.C. (WCBD) – An investigation into a robbery and kidnapping incident on the Isle of Palms this week led to the arrest of a 28-year-old Goose Creek man.

Officers with the Isle of Palms Police Department responded to a location on Ocean Boulevard just after 8 p.m. Tuesday for a man who was acting aggressively towards two women in a parked car.

The victim identified the suspect as 28-year-old Theron Zellars Reddy, who she knew through a previous relationship. She told officers that Reddy physically assaulted her and took her cell phone before leaving the scene.

Reddy was taken into custody in downtown Charleston and booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center on multiple charges, including strong-armed robbery, kidnapping, and domestic violence in the second degree.
