Charleston County deputies assist in Summerville barricade situation

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Charleston County deputies are assisting US Marshals with a barricade situation Monday afternoon.

The suspect is barricaded in a residence on Tree Canopy Drive off Von Ohsen Road in Summerville, law enforcement told News 2.

Surrounding roads are currently shut down while authorities work. A Charleston County SWAT team is on the scene.

John Hale with the US Marshal Service said the investigation is ongoing and there is nothing to report as of 4:41 p.m.
