North Charleston police to hand out turkeys, serve up hot Thanksgiving meals
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The North Charleston Police Department will give away more than 200 turkeys to families on Friday.
It’s part of the department’s annual “A Day of Thanksgiving” near the Charleston Area Convention Center (5001 Coliseum Drive) next to the North Charleston Coliseum parking garage.
Police say 250 turkeys will be handed out along with a bag of fixings.
Additionally, police will prepare hot meals with mac and cheese, green beans, yellow rice, yams, and fried turkey.
The giveaway happens Friday, Nov. 22 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
