Beyoncé Recreates Iconic Pamela Anderson Looks While Urging Fans To Vote In ‘Bodyguard’ Music Video
You know times are dire when Beyoncé fiiiiiinally drops a visual so she can make sure her fans get to the polls on election day.
On Tuesday, Nov. 5, Beyoncé finally released a visual from the Renaissance era!
The first music video from Cowboy Carter comes to us on Election Day with an important message as the singer released a new visual titled, Beywatch. The visual is set to an edit of her song “Bodyguard,” with Beyoncé dressed up in multiple different Pamela Anderson‘s looks, all while encouraging everyone to go out and VOTE!
While the 32-time Grammy winner danced along to her song while channeling Anderson’s character in Barb Wire, wearing a black dress with a plunging neckline, knee-high boots, and mesh gloves. In one shot, Bey holds up her gun, which fires to show the word “Vote.”
The thumbnail for the video is the still of the singer holding up the message to vote, so it’s pretty obvious how serious Beyoncé is about encouraging the Beyhive to perform their civic duty.
Other looks in the music video include the 43-year-old rocking her own version of Anderson’s iconic red bathing suit. but instead of Baywatch emblazoned on the front, her suit says “Beywatch.” Her third look was a nod to Anderson’s outfit from the 1999 MTV Video Music Awards, wearing a giant pink fuzzy hat, white corset, and bedazzled leggings.
The final shot of the visual shows white text on a black screen, simply reading, “Vote.”
To drive home just how important this message is for her, this is the first music video Beyoncé has released in years. Beside her visual album, Lemonade, in 2016, Bey’s last standalone solo music video was for “Formation” in 2015, nearly a decade ago.
Listen to Beyoncé and go vote!!!
