Mount Pleasant to host select Charleston Wine + Food events

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – A famous Charleston food festival has partnered with the Town of Mount Pleasant to host select events at Memorial Waterfront Park.

Three signature Charleston Wine + Food events will highlight Lowcountry flavors in Mount Pleasant during the 2025 festival.

Shucked highlights a Lowcountry staple, oysters. | $185 | Mar. 6 | 4-6 p.m.

Attendees will be treated to a traditional oyster roast, and all the oysters the area has to offer will be prepared raw, on the half shell, grilled, steamed, and more. Other seafood dishes are to be highlighted during the event.

Island Time showcases the Caribbean influence in Lowcountry cuisine. | $155 | Mar. 7 | 2-4:30 p.m.

“This Caribbean-rooted event will feature local spirits, island-inspired cocktails, and top-notch food featuring bold, fresh, and flavorful profiles from a crew of chefs with deep Caribbean roots,” festival organizers said.

Talent for the event includes Alain Lemaire, Jamie Barnes, and Simeon Hall Jr.

Big Shrimpin’ puts all things crustacean on display. | $175 | Mar. 9 | 2- 4:30 p.m.

The six-chef lineup will craft dishes involving crawfish, shrimp, and crabs together alongside ice-cold beverages for the ‘crustacean celebration.’

All events require clear bags and attendees must be 21 years or older.

Other Mount Pleasant restaurants will hold events at their businesses including a bourbon lunch at Grace & Grit and a wine lunch at Lola Rose.
