Angel Vause admits lying to FBI during Brittanee Drexel murder probe, awaits sentencing

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WBTW) — The longtime girlfriend of Brittanee Drexel’s killer on Monday admitted that she lied to the FBI during their investigation into the teenager’s rape and murder, and in the custody of federal authorites until she’s sentenced.

Angel Vause, 56, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court’s Charleston division to three counts of making a false statement to federal agents.

Vause was indicted in March. Her boyfriend Raymond Moody is serving a life sentence after confessing in 2022 to the crime. Drexel, 17, of Rochester, N.Y., was abducted while on spring break in Myrtle Beach in 2009.
