Deputies investigate string of vehicle break-ins
CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a string of overnight vehicle break-ins.
Deputies responded to Hayne Street on Monday night after receiving reports of several vehicle break-ins. Upon arrival, officials say deputies located ten vehicles that had been broken into.
The method of entry varied throughout the vehicles. According to deputies some vehicles were not locked and others were forced entry.
Approximately $200 in total was taken from the vehicles.
Charleston County’s Criminal Investigations Division and Forensics Services Unit responded immediately, officials report.
