Williamsburg Co. charges men with furnishing contraband into prison

WILLIAMSBURG, S.C. (WCBD) – The Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office arrested three men for furnishing contraband at the Federal Correctional Institution, Williamsburg.

Luther Jโ€™Quan Antonio Brown, age 28, of North Charleston, was arrested and
charged by the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office with furnishing contraband to inmate.

Dontae Daniel Royal, age 25, of Columbia, was arrested and charged by the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office with furnishing contraband to inmate.

Lamont Terell Smalls, age 27, of North Charleston, was arrested and charged by
the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office with furnishing contraband to inmate.

Deputies say they responded to a report on July 16 of two individuals throwing contraband packages over the fence of FCI Williamsburg and then leaving the scene in a vehicle.

Deputies intercepted the vehicle on US 52 on Williamsburg County Highway South near Manning Highway and conducted a traffic stop, according to authorities.

Brown, Royal, and Smalls were taken into custody and transported to the Williamsburg County Detention Center.

The sheriff’s office has stated that this incident is currently under investigation.
