One person dead in early morning homicide: CPD

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The Charleston Police Department is investigating an early morning shooting that killed one person.

Officers say they responded to Nassau Street around 1:20 a.m. after hearing gunshots.

Once on the scene, they discovered an individual suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Officials say Charleston County EMS declared the individual deceased on the scene.
