Charleston County deputy involved in Tuesday morning crash with civilian vehicle
CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A deputy with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) was involved in a Tuesday morning crash with a civilian vehicle.
The deputy attempted a U-turn while headed north on Savannah Highway in West Ashley and did not see a civilian vehicle directly behind them, according to officials with the sheriff’s office.
Officials said the deputy’s vehicle was struck on the driver’s side. No injuries were reported.
The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit and the South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the scene. An investigation is ongoing.
