Mrs. Kackley receives the News 2 Cool Principal award

Oakland Elementary’s Mrs. Elizabeth Kackley is leading the way to excellence by creating a sense of family in a fun and engaging environment. Students are riding a wave to success. Principal Kackley receives the News 2 Cool School Principal Award.

Mrs. Elizabeth Kackley is in her 25th year as an educator, year six at Oakland Elementary School, a neighborhood school in West Ashley with 550 students in child development through 5th grade. She began her career as a special education teacher.

Principal Kackley says she is proud of the school’s academic gains, rating Excellent and Good on the last three state report cards. She personifies fun and does whatever it takes to create a happy environment filled with smiles for her Orcas.
