Woman wins $200K after buying $5 scratch-off at Dorchester Road convenience store

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A Lowcountry woman is celebrating a $200,000 win after purchasing a $5 scratch-off from a Dorchester Road convenience store.

The winner told officials from the South Carolina Education Lottery that she was out running errands when she stopped by the Obama Quick Stop and decided to try her luck on the scratcher.

“I just kept looking at it,” the woman said of her win. “I was in shock.”

The Obama Quick Stop received a commission of $2,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
