Tory Lanez is reportedly set to request a new trial following the guilty verdict in his shooting case last month.

Right before Christmas break, Tory Lanez was found guilty in his gun case involving the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. The guilty charges included assault with a semiautomatic firearm, discharging a firearm with gross negligence, and having an unregistered and loaded firearm in a vehicle. Lanez was taken into custody immediately after the verdict was revealed. While he was scheduled to be sentenced this month it seems he may make an attempt to regain his freedom.

Tory Lanez Sentencing Delayed As His New Lawyer Reportedly Wants A New Trial

Earlier this week Tory Lanez rightfully changed attorney’s representing him. He switched from George Mgdesyan who represented him in the most recent trial to David Kenner. Kenner most famously represented Snoop Dogg in his 1993 murder case.

Along with new representation came the news Lanez’s sentencing is being delayed a month.

It seems Kenners first action is pushing for a new trial for Lanz. If he will be successful in his efforts or not is yet to be seen but due to his track record, we may see this case play out yet again.
