Dorchester County Sheriff: Missing toddler found dead in family pool

DORCHESTER, S.C. (WCBD)- The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) located a three-year-old child deceased in the family swimming pool at 9:47 p.m. Tuesday. DCSO and the Dorchester County Coroner’s Office are investigating.

DORCHESTER, S.C. (WCBD)- Multiple Lowcountry law enforcement agencies on Tuesday responded to a reported missing toddler in Dorchester County.
According to Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO), the call reporting the missing three-year-old child came in around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday. DCSO said that the child had been missing for 15 to 20 minutes by the time the call was made.
Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office and EMS, Colleton County Sheriff’s Office, and Charleston County Sheriff’s Office helicopter and K9 units responded to the area of Kette Creek Road for the search. The South Carolina Highway Patrol, South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, and an FBI task force also assisted.
