2 school buses involved in crash near Summerville High School
SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) – Two school buses were involved in a crash near Summerville High School on Friday afternoon.
Dorchester School District 2 said one of the school buses was carrying approximately 25 students, and the other was empty.
“Emergency personnel, including the school nurse and EMS, immediately responded to the scene. Students were evaluated for injuries, and seven reported minor injuries,” the district said.
None of the students were taken to the hospital; however, both bus drivers were taken to the hospital for evaluation.
“The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our top priorities. School officials are cooperating fully with local authorities to investigate the cause of the accident,” the district added.
